Enjoying Hospice
I am loving my days these days. It is a bummer to be bed bound, but I am enjoying feeling really good. No side effects from cancer meds. I feel better than I have in 4 1/2 years. I am spending a lot of time painting. I have streamlined to watercolor pens and watercolors because it is less messy. I have painted 570 birds! Funeral favors done! Now I am enjoying painting flowers. I am such a beginner, but it is fun. Art therapy really is great.
An aide comes three times a week to bathe me and I always feel like a new woman after a bath. She washes my hair and everything. The nurse comes once a week. I highly recommend hospice when the time comes. Quality of life is everything. I know cancer riddles my body and will overtake me, but today, I will enjoy.
Visitors
I am enjoying friends and visitors. It is nice to be in the front room with my family. I enjoy great meals from my mother, and Curt takes great care of me when I need it. We are so blessed that his employer is letting him work from home.
I will update again soon. For now, know I am enjoying my days.

Julie,
You bring so much joy to the world. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying your days and being so well cared for.
570 birds!!! That’s incredible! You far surpassed your goal! There is a song called Legacy by Nichole Nordeman. It reminds me so very much of you. I’ll text you the link in case you want to check it out. Sending love.
